Current ChatGPT compatibility with the OptixLog MCP endpoint.
ChatGPT Developer mode apps are not currently supported by OptixLog's bearer-only MCP endpoint.
The ChatGPT app flow connects to a remotely reachable MCP server and supports its connector authentication flow. It does not provide a verified way to attach an arbitrary long-lived Authorization: Bearer sk-opt-... value to every request. Because OptixLog does not yet expose MCP OAuth discovery or accept OAuth access tokens, tool scanning cannot authenticate.
The old bearer-token instructions were incorrect
Do not select no authentication and do not paste an OptixLog API key into an unrelated OAuth field. OptixLog returns 401 to requests without a valid sk-opt- bearer.
OptixLog continues to expose search and fetch compatibility tools, but current ChatGPT apps no longer require those exact names. They remain useful to other clients and for a future OAuth-enabled ChatGPT integration.
